WKS Śląsk Wrocław Basketball took part in the game against Tasomix Rosiek Stal Ostrów Wrocław in Ostrów Wielkopolski. In the first half, Śląsk players made only one successful two-point shot. Fortunately, the Wrocław team had better aim from a greater distance, which allowed them to avoid total embarrassment. Despite this, they were losing 31:52 at halftime. And Ainārs Bagatskis, the coach of Śląsk, had to worry about the result of the game. On Monday, his team beat Energę Czarnych Słupsk in Hala Orbita, and then lost to BAXI Manresa in the same place, and on Saturday they had an away game in Ostrów Wielkopolski. After the break, Śląsk tried to catch up with their opponents, but the hosts quickly took away WKS's illusions. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Ostrów team was already leading 85:48. Eventually, the Saturday match ended with their victory in a ratio of 93:72. Luka Sakota, a player from Stal, scored 29 points. In the Wrocław team, only Ajdin Penava managed to collect a double-digit score, scoring 11 points. But Śląsk will return to the court before the short Christmas break. On Tuesday, they will play in Hala Orbita against Dzikami Warszawa as part of the postponed 1st round of the Orlen Basket League. So PGE Start Lublin entered the game against Górnik Wałbrzych as the last team in the table. However, the current Polish vice-champions caused a surprise, beating the Lower Silesian team 85:79. Now Górnik, the only team in the Orlen Basket League that has not lost at home this season, will play against Arriva Lotto Twardymi Piernikami Toruń. The match is scheduled for December 27 at the Aqua Zdroj hall in Wałbrzych. WKS Śląsk Wrocław Basketball must now focus on upcoming games to improve their position in the league table. And coach Bagatskis must find a way to improve the effectiveness of his team in attack. But for now, Śląsk has to deal with the defeat and prepare for the next challenges.
